    Yeah, you could save the page. But at that point, you could use a command-line tool too (does something like that exist?).

    I guess what you are advocating is that you can use a “trusted” version forever and not run the risk of the author turning trustworthy in the future.

    Yeah, that’s exactly what I meant, even if the author remains trustworthy, a website can get compromised more easily.

      Yes, it’s called ssss and has very good chances of being packaged for your distro!

      For a lot of users using a saved webpage is much easier than a command-line tool. In fact if it is something I use infrequently I would also rather use a webpage than a command-line tool as well.
