i enjoy reading political theory, and already am growing my knowledge and history on my own, but i know i would not only enjoy it more but also benefit from the efforts more if i has comrades to do this with.

unfortunately, i have tried a lot with the people around me and no one is both enthusiastic and committed. i am a part of a couple organizing efforts in my city, and i love that work and the comrades i have there, but they are overwhelmed and not too interested in theory anyway. i did just join AF3IRM and they have a reading group going, but it’s kind of slow to my pace (1-2 mtgs a month) and i want to read/explore multiple things not just 1 book. my close friends dont have the discipline. i def dont want to join a random group and read with 12 new strangers every meeting…

how did you guys find that supportive, consistent, encouraging theory/history/reading/documentary group of 3-7 comrades, or is that fantasy
