DOS has weapons/items that start killing your character as soon as they touch them.
I can’t remember the material but it literally made me stop playing DOS1 as I was like 30+ hrs in and couldn’t get rid of a status effect.
Edit: I finally found it’s name, Tenebrium.
Hm ok, I don’t remember anything like that, but it does indeed sound annoying
