I really don’t like Spike Lee, unfathomably he will be head jury in Cannes this year… even his Malcom X film only serves a purpose, the one Lenin famously stated on the first paragraph of State and Rev BlacKkKlansman was a shitshow, the lack of subtlety was jarring, there were many moments where I cringed hard, it’s lib shit
His reaction to losing best picture speaks of what he’s in for (although it’s somewhat understandable when the winner is fucking Green Book)
In highschool I read Malcolm X’s autobiography, and then watched the movie, and was like what the fuck is this? Its clear spike hadn’t read more than a few pages.
