They need the max sentence, every time. None of them are sorry; they’re just telling the judge what they think he wants to hear. They might as well not be sorry making license plates for a decade.

they’re sorry they failed. Sorry they got caught, and sorry they’re being held accountable.

what they’re not sorry about is trying to fucking overthrow the lawful government of this country. So yeah.

The judge can call a hearing based on his actions, and re-sentence him. It’s already happened to at least one of these chucklefucks

Do you have a source for this? Not that I don’t trust you, I just want to laugh at these chucklefucks.

The accused are playing their part - if the judge doesn’t play theirs, how is the charade supposed to work?

They’ve given the defendants of 1/6 every opportunity to receive minimal sentencing, often going well under what the prosecutors have asked for, foregoing reasonable enhancements, and every other leniency. Some have also walked due to biased judges. This is a popular criticism, it’s not exactly a fringe opinion.

That’s not an example of double standards. I’m wanting that part explained.

                  I’m wanting

                  Oh, well, pardon me! lol

These are primarily upper middle class individuals and their cases are political. We don’t see such leniency and bias employed with working class convictions. They are also defendants on the right - heck, many times the US simply assassinates people on the left before the can become defendants! However for a different comparison, we have seen terrorism charges actually wielded against eco-protestors in the US (unlike with Briggs).

I hope that is sufficient, because this is starting to feel like I’m being sea-lioned.

I think the point is that people perceived your first post as a statement coming from a right wing conspiracy nut. With this post it’s clear that you mean that there is a political bias in favour of the defendant.

                    That’s a bold claim. People such as…?

this is starting to feel like I’m being sea-lioned.

A bullshit term made up so people can pretend to be victims when other people ask them questions. It’s not “sea-lioning” when you come out of your little bubble for a few minutes and nobody has any idea what the fuck you’re talking about.
