I had coffee with a guy yesterday for potential help with employment in a programming position for a non-profit org and he dropped the “I’m as left as the come” line. Instead of rolling my eyes u was like ok how left are you, thinking he’d say liberal Dem or some shit. He replied with “anarcho-syndicalist.” Showed him my AnCom button on my hat and we ended up talking theory for like an hour after discussing programming stuff. It was really a cool experience and in the Bible Belt nonetheless. He recommended Thomas Picketty to me and I said I would send him the Where’s the Winter Palace blog that was posted on Grad a while back. The whole ass thing was based lol.
