Agree completely except for the vast underselling of BG3. It’s one of the best games in years IMO and as far as I can tell, Larian is up to few or none of the usual money vampire tricks that have disgustingly become standard practice of the industry! ✊️❤️

I’m a picky gamer and very, very rarely buy games at full price (last one was Elden Ring) but decided to pick up BG3 last night to see if it lived up to the hype, and return it within the refund window if it didn’t. 6h later, I still couldn’t put it down.

One of those (sadly rare) instances where a game absolutely deserves the premium price tag.

That touching up got outsourced to a tiny company that had never done anything but mobile games. There were like a dozen people working on that, and what was just a touch up of one game became the trilogy with only like 3 months notice. So as shitty as the end product was, Rockstar fucked them.

I don’t exactly condone it either, I enthusiastically embrace and encourage it. It is always morally correct to refuse to reward unethical and predatory businesses practices.

GTAV has had quite a bit of polish, comparatively. Of course, I’m sure that if they weren’t mostly doing it to keep GTA Online looking vaguely fresh it would still look like a PS3 game.

Then the issue is the full price part, not changing the exe to work with PS4 instead of PS3 (yes it’s not that simple, but that’s what the end user experience is)

The real shitty part is if you own the complete edition on PS3, Rockstar, again, is telling you to get fucked because the version you already bought a license for uses a different CPU and GPU. That’s never a problem on PC but they want you to pay twice on consoles

I find it funny that RDR is being framed as a Rockstar issue, when it feels more like a Sony issue. RDR has been backwards compatible on the Xbone since 2016. The reason Rockstar has to make a port is because of how poor PlayStation is at backwards compatibility

It’s just more of the same but with a reset. With a puny weak sauce season mechanic I couldn’t be bothered to regrind all the reknown, all the dungeons etc. Got bit further into endgame compared to pre-season but the lack of storage and organisation made me quit a few weeks ago. Four (4) stash tabs, or is it five, and no search. How the heck am I supposed to manage loots and dungeons?

They nerfed it even more with S1, which made gameplay not fun. Meanwhile, us D2 players have hated it since the beginning, for many, many, many reasons. D4 has potential, but it’s not there yet - Blizzard needs to seriously work on getting the game balance right, but even then, I don’t see some aspects of the game improving due to the design decisions they made.

Personally, I’d rather place my hopes on PoE 2.

Ah yes, CRPGs, famously a genre that has never had any releases since the 90’s.

Except Path of Exile, Torment: Tides of Numenera, Pathfinder: Kingmaker/Wrath of the Righteous, Divinity Original Sin 1&2, Pillars of Eternity 1&2, the Shadowrun series, Disco Elysium…

It’s perfectly fine to have preferences, but don’t shit on a genre because of your own ignorance.

            No.

You start with a really good cup of coffee but are then offered the best coffee. So they take your really good coffee that you already paid for and toss it out, break the machine that makes the really good coffee and then serves you garbage coffee in a slightly smaller cup and then spits in it.

I’m not here to defend their shit PVE* and I even make a point to say it is fucking scummy they killed their OG game for this garbage but lets at least deal with facts right now. Do pve missions from the first game still available? I don’t follow it much.

I think one part that people are outrage about OW2 are those PvE DLC contents with $15, but yeah, it come with coins that worth the battle pass. So, actually it’s kinda cheaper.

At the moment, there are none of the archive level. Which is super silly. So you only get 3 missions with some cutscenes with them.

Yes, a 13 year old game getting a crappy port job to last gen consoles and being sold for $50 is awesome.

And yes, the unpolished Diablo 4, with less content than a plain cheese sandwich, is awesome.

And yes, OW2 replacing the original entirely with the promise of a fully fledged PvE mode, but instead delivering the same type of simple PvE missions they already had in OW1, is totally awesome. /s
