It should be pretty obvious that not being the patriarchal standard of ‘feminine’ is going to get AFAB people the most shit from the patriarchy. If we wanted to ‘avoid misogyny’ we sure as shit wouldn’t be doing this.
An AFAB person dressing the way patriarchal men want them to in order to avoid social ostracization would be internalized misogyny, not the other way around.

It’s actually wild because as I’ve started presenting more masculine and really embraced those parts of myself, my visceral disgust of femininity has all but disappeared. You could argue (and I indeed would) that my internalized misogyny has actually lessened by embracing a more masculine way of presenting myself.
Femininity is cool and good, it just isn’t for me, and that’s fine!

Alternatively, the other way around with terfs. I’m trans. No, I’m not sexist and patriarchal for being trans and doing typically feminine things. It’s really lose-lose to be transgender, you get hatred whatever you do.
