Israeli warplanes launched over ten airstrikes across Lebanon, violating the 2024 ceasefire and raising the death toll since the beginning of the year to 29, according to Lebanon’s Health Ministry.

Al Mayadeen’s correspondent in southern Lebanon reported on Thursday evening that an explosion was heard in the town of Odeisseh and its surroundings.

Israeli warplanes conducted a series of airstrikes on southern and northeastern Lebanon, marking a continued escalation despite the ceasefire agreement reached in November 2024.

According to Al Mayadeen’s correspondent, Israeli warplanes carried out a series of airstrikes on the al-Rihan Heights and the Qatrani area, while other raids hit al-Mahmoudiya and the outskirts of Barghaz in southern Lebanon.

Further north, the Israeli occupation further launched two airstrikes targeting the outskirts of the town of Bodai in the western Bekaa, as well as two strikes on the outskirts of Hermel.

Throughout the day, the number of Israeli airstrikes exceeded ten, signaling a deliberate intensification along Lebanon’s southern and northeastern fronts. Ceasefire violations and ongoing occupation

Despite the 2024 ceasefire, “Israel” continues its military operations in Lebanon, now having violated the ceasefire thousands of times.

It also maintains illegal occupation of five strategic hills in the south, contravening the terms of the agreement, which mandated a complete withdrawal.

Among recent violations, Israeli forces sprayed internationally prohibited herbicides on forested areas along the Blue Line, inflicting environmental damage and threatening public health.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that the death toll from Israeli attacks has reached 29 martyrs since the beginning of the year.
