When Oct 7 happened, an entire squad of leftists in the west went ballistic on Palestinian liberation fighters who were under a cruel blockade and apartheid, and were fighting for their people’s right to have access to food, water, daily essentials, and not getting fucking decimated by guns & tanks. The only ones who stood firm in their anti-Israel, pro-Palestine stance were the ‘Tankies’! The demsocs and the radlibs didn’t waste a single effort to make it clear that they condemned Hamas before saying anything anti-Genocide. They kept condemning the anti-Genocide resistance group in the face of a genocide.

Fast forward to Jan 3rd, 2026, the American leftists and the western leftists keep spouting things like, “I am happy for the Venezuelans who are celebrating the end of the Maduro regime. But Trump did violate the international law”, “I live in [insert a city in the USA] and every Venezuelan immigrant is celebrating that they can finally go home. Tankies should stop promoting Authoritarian dictators.”, and “I know Maduro was an evil authoritarian dictator but so is Trump. I condemn this illegal invasion.”

Now answer me this. Maduro steered an economy under some of the Strictest sactions and managed to make it the fastest growing economy in South America last year, created hundreds of communes for self-management of the Venezuelan people, and distributed firearms to the Citizens. Does this guy sound like an evil dictator to you? Maduro may not be a Marxist. Heck, he may not even be a principled socialist! But he was democratically elected over a party that wants to sell all Venezuelan assets to the US and restore the pre-Chavez oligarchal rule. The reason you westoids keep bothsiding Maduro’s government and the imperialist USA is because you are too ashamed of admitting that you fell for the same consent manufacturing media apparatus for quintillionth time despite claiming to be ‘Class Conscious’.
