    Yeah, and in today’s America right wing conservatism is almost entirely concentrated in the GOP. Not really sure what the history of the party flip (which happened over half a century the better part of a century ago) has to do with anything in the screenshot?

      Half a century is nothing when 45% of the people who vote are over 50.

      Fwiw, the switch happened more like 70 years ago though.

      Sorry, I didn’t mean to be confrontational. Of course right wing conservatism and the GOP go hand in hand today, to the point that many people don’t even differentiate between them.

      The text of the post reads kind of like the GOP is the problem, as opposed to being where you can find the problem so very readily. I wanted to point out that we should be looking out for the bad political philosophy that the Republican party embraces even when it’s outside the Republican party. Even where it’s found inside the Democratic party. And I used the example of the party flip to illustrate that.
