      if Walz and Klob were better i could see DFL asserting itself more as a separate entity from the democratic party.

      the problem with radlibs doing anything like that is that your 1-2% is all over the country and libs think almost exclusively in terms of national elections. if it was going to happen we’d see a state with zero republican viability and some upstart party challenging democrats from the left.

        i have to wonder if most of the states with no republican viability are too professional-managerial to support a strong left wing. the only one i can think of is massachusetts and they’re so well-off it’s hard to imagine them voting for anyone left of reagan. not to sound defeatist but i suppose electoralism is already not a great avenue for left-wing stuff anyway.
