Btw I think we talk to friendly and neutral about christianity and christians. In german there are at least ways to subtly denounce christians as “evangelicals”. Its always funny if I catch it off topic because it slips detection easily.

Calling them creationis might do something but an actual native speaker might have better words for it than I do.

I mean, sure. Thats one way to describe it but my point is more focused on decidedly christians because they’re the dominant religion and insufferable on average.

technically they are called chirstian fundementalists. but in america if you say fundemnetalists people will know you are talking about christian fundemnetalists. Maybe in other parts of the world it wouldn’t be as heavily implied when you say fundmentalist, as religious fundementalism is not exclusive to christians. Funnily enough, fundmentalist is often used as a standin for biblicial literalist. That is the techincal term for people who are young earth creationists, atleast generally speaking they are almost always biblical literalists. This could be very dependent on culture though. Biblicial literalism isn’t a very common term among lay people though.

Practically speaking though it’s all semantics.

Thats very interestinf! Thanks. My own bias is showing because in german media, fundamentalists is actually used to discredit muslims mostly. I fucking hate this country. Some of us use the shortened/euphemised version “fundis” (spoken: fondees) to describe christian fundamentalists but it isnt widely known.
