That is not at all what I am saying. Not every state is fascist by design, and fascism is not a spectrum. There is no fascism slider that you can apply to countries like a video game mechanic.
What I am saying is that America is a fascist empire that engages in legalized slavery (and even more underground slavery), operates global drug trade networks, an aggressive transnational military accountable to no voting population, forments a bestial hatred of non-white nations which it uses as justification for war after war, killing millions in this century alone, and finally, releases carbon dioxide/pollution at a prodigal (per capita) rate with no regard the hundreds of millions of people that will die as a result.
Modern America is on par with Nazi Germany for how fucked it is. The only reason you or I don’t feel it is because we are not the current targets. With the way things are going, the American empire may end up being worse than the British empire.
yes, every state is fascist by design, the function of a state is to opress people in order to make them more governable using violent force with the excuse of “protecting” it’s people
and yeah sure, your points about america are valid, but what country doesn’t do the same shit or doesn’t at least collaborate with america?
also I do think that you can be more fascist than someone else, for example: you said that america is as bad as nazi germany, but it can become worse, right? so that would make it more fascist than nazi germany
The vast majority of the states in the world don’t do these things though. Every state is going to do bad things (however you define that), but fascism is something very specific. It is the form of policy that a late stage liberal society follows, one which has no further path of development and especially one which has an empire it has to defend.
for example: you said that america is as bad as nazi germany, but it can become worse, right?
It can get worse. But predicting which American candidate will make it worse less quickly is trying to predict the butterfly effect.
I’m not saying that you cannot make predictions in politics. It is possible, but only specific types of general predictions under specific circumstances.
Take the election again, who is to say that a second trump admin won’t be as incompetent as the first? In that case, it might even end up being less harmful than the Biden admin. But that is not guaranteed either.
name one state and I can dig up tons of shit about it
I belive that trump won’t be as incompetent this time and as I am part of the lgbt community I wouldn’t vote for someone who actively tries to destroy it
