Also Lawrence has a whole identity wrapped around being launch pad for the ‘Free State’, but I hear it’s mainly just a bunch of drunk college kids and suburban sprawl now.
Haha yeah I was in Lawrence for ~8 years for school and there are a lot of drunk college kids (I was one), but it’s still the most left city in the entire state by far. Mostly hippy types but they’re better than the chuds!

Sooooo many hippies, such contrast to the other cities and rural obviously, though homesteader types are sprinkled throughout the Northeast.
