I don’t really think he knows this site’s culture at all. No one is dissuading people from reading theory lol

i dont understand why he doesnt just subscribe to the more serious communities like c/theory and what not and ignore the rest of the site, i guess it would be lower engagement but like he had to deal with twitter morons all the time i dont see why he just doesnt do that. or make a lemmygrad account and make a community that solely revolves around serious discussions and what not

Roderic Day is incurious and incompetent don’t expect him to curate a feed he can’t even read a single post for comprehension.

I generally disagree. I really dislike his position on how people use language (like he hyperfocuses on pretending you arent serious about a conversation if you use “lol” or “lmao”) but i find him to be one of the few people on twitter with a big following that will actually engage with anyone no matter how much or how little clout they have and mostly engage with your arguments as long as you steer clear of stuff he really dislikes like using lmao. Do you hate his articles too? I’ve generally agreed with the analysis he’s had in all of the ones I’ve read, I’d be open to any criticsms of them that you know of in that case.

I agree with you I find his site has some very good reading haven’t read an article yet that I disagree with all too much. Much better then Jacobin which people sometimes post here.

The “engage with anyone” behavior is a neutral quality imo. If he were particularly helpful in educating others of good positions in those interactions I would say it was a good thing but he brings a silly combination of positions and often picks stupid fights.

Re: his articles, he is… fairly wrong most of the time. I don’t think he has the patience to read most commie things for comprehension but desperately wants to have a position on them, and share that position, and then defend it forever. [Edit: removed some things I couldn’t find evidence for until I do find it]

Which ultra did he platform, do you remember the title of the article? Im curious. As far as “fairly wrong most of the time”, that seems like a pretty harsh critique against someone who is fairly recognized on this website for producing good works on a number of subjects, could you share more specifically some examples of this wrongness? Personally, I like most of what I have read on redsails.
