It’s always such a nuanced situation when the side you’re rooting for is committing atrocities, especially when they admit and proclaim them. The mental gymnastics have got to be akin to a running jump onto a trampoline and then straight into a wall where thought just stops. There really isn’t any argument that can be made in support of massacring a captive population that is entirely at your mercy just for daily survival.
