I think Kurzgesagt has had some cringe takes for sure (and like comrade knfirmity said, they’re partially funded by the Gates foundation), but I was pleasantly surprised by their consistency regarding the “blame game” on climate change.
By that, I mean they rebuked the claims that China and India are to blame for global emissions and should be expected to cut down while the West keeps steamrolling ahead. They pointed out the fact that the PRC, in order to reach net zero, will need to utilize dirty energy first to develop to the point to properly standardize green energy, and we should stop pointing fingers and start working together internationally to combat climate change. Basically no different than the ML line.
Not to say they’re MLs or even adjacent. Just worth pointing out, I think.
