What I don’t understand is why ghouls like this don’t just retire and enjoy their twilight years for a while. She was being paraded around on a wheelchair in front of camera after her stroke as her handlers were weakly trying to convince everyone that she is still fit to do anything that requires intermediate cognitive capacity. Now she has died while still being in office like a chump.

I can’t comprehend it. Like, I understand it for the true believers, both Bernie and the craziest republicans. But people like Feinstein, you did all this insider trading and made all this money and for what? To work until you croak like us poors?
When you spend your whole life in pursuit of money and power, you never stop to figure out what you actually enjoy in life. You eventually try to fill that empty hole by telling yourself that you enjoy the work you do.
My grandfather was like that, just relentlessly chasing money his whole life. He eventually tried to pass his business to my father and retire, but he couldn’t handle it because he had no clue what he enjoyed beyond money and drinking Budweiser. Eventually he pushed his way back into the business despite being nearly deaf and starting to suffer from dementia. He was so proud of being rich, but he ended up losing most of his money by trying to Feinstein it.
We really need to take rich people’s money away, mostly for all the societal reasons but also it’s for their own good, that level of wealth isn’t healthy for your brain.
If you stashed away 5 million dollars to make sure your children and grandchildren were accounted for (during perhaps more stable times) why wouldn’t you pig out on millions of dollars yourself for the remainder? It’s not like you’re running Feinstein Inc. Nobody’s expecting that money back. It’s crystalized and perverted labor that had been appropriated to a ghoul, it’s kind of sad that it isn’t being realized as more than stock exchange fodder or something
