The amount of Nazi sympathizing I see among NATO bootlickers is disgusting.

Honestly I disagree, though more so with what this entails and how it was said than with what was said.

There are good faith explanations for some statements which appear to enable or excuse Nazis. Approaching those statements with hostility, not thinking of why the person made the statement, not only makes the person making the statement less likely to understand why what they did/said is wrong (as if they may perceive your hostility as an attack on them, therefore becoming defensive), but also makes it easier for those who intentionally excuse, enable or are (neo)Nazis / other reactionaries, to dismiss those against them, painting them as dramatic and appealing to more people

As an example take the statement

Trans women have an advantage in sports over a cis woman

While this statement is most definetly transphobic, a person who said this may not be:

    • men are on average stronger than women
    • trans women did have a body of a man in the past
    • the strength may not have gone away
    • this person who I feel like knows what they are talking about says this is true

is a perfectly reasonable way to come to this conclusion. It is of course false, but calling that person transphobic will only give fuel to those who do actually hate trans people and want them erased from existing to paint those who support trans people as delusional. Saying that feminizing hormone therapy erases any advantage in muscle strength is more likely to actually make them back off.

TL;DR: being hostile to those who you think may support reactionaries/(neo)Nazis is more likely to make them further support them than stop doing so.
