The title is my question. Although I am not very sceptical of news coming from the news sources I mentioned, like CGTN, I still think it would be important for me to have pretty strong reasons for convincing my liberal friends to read articles by CGTN to debunk a few myths they have on China.

    Is CGTN owned (alongside other Chinese networks) by a few billionaires? That would be one major differentiating factor.

            The ruling party in China has over 90 million members, said party also has over 80% approval rating. Anyone who argues China is being controlled by a few billionaires is delusional or straight up denying reality.
