So this topic seems to be on the brain lately, actually been meaning to do a prompt like this for a while because I’m very much a stupid name enjoyer, but this seems like the right time. What are some organization names, or names in general, in your world that your characters think is stupid? Do people still actually use the name or do they have an informal substitute?
Reserve Army of Despair, Despair Speakers… basically anything that comes from the Imperium. It’s to satisfy the Padishah Kaiserin’s despair fetish, which doesn’t really exist, but that’s another story.
This actually reminds me of a so-bad-it’s-good Canadian cartoon series I used to watch as a kid. It was called Johnny Twoshoes, where the focus “umbrella corporation” type entity is called “Misery Inc.” and its CEO is called Lucious Haneous II.
Damn I’m nostalgic now.
