I absolutely love Gentoo. However, while 20 years ago it made sense to compile your own kernel, I don’t see the advantage today. What is todays Use Case for Gentoo? Why should anyone use it?

I know, it is a cool distro and as a user you learn a lot about BSD. Just asking because I fail to recommend or use Gentoo nowadays for a valid reason.

Costing fucking billions because of the fucking huge apparatus it created and by also sending money to economically less powerful countries, just to be wasted by corrupt politicians. All of that extra shit is what I mean.

Well, fuck the US. But also fuck the EU. Let the states be states and focus on standardizing the most important things: Free movement between the states, common currency, shared military doctrine.
