  • Honestly I go with the Exo-galactic refugee hypothesis kinda like the Vong for the majority of humans but that there is also a native human population in the galaxy as well. Though the reason for humanity’s supremacy in star wars has to do with the Pius Dea, which to summarize were basically when the Republic went full Imperium of Man and started purging xenos.

  • Yeah its a low risk experiment. On par with poking an animal corpse with a stick, it makes sense that a solid number of men would immediately go with poke it with a stick. Also it kinda makes sense from an evolutionary point of view that men would be more prone to checking things that are low risk out, one man can make a lot of babies at a time while one woman can only make one baby at a time.

I am now curious if the rate is similar for tans folks.

  • Yeah historians and archeologists generally have about a dozen ideas and wont discount or accept them till enough data has been collected. A prime example are those weird Roman dodecahedrons, where it could be everthing from a knitting instrument to a niche tool to something as simple as a nick nack. Though I think the knitting example is actually discounted because the type of knitting that was done with it was either not common enough to justify a specialized tool or not invented yet.

Anyways archeology is fun cause you can sometimes find new ways an artifact was used, like for example a helmet can be used as a helmet, a pisspot, or a bowl. This means we sometiems have no clue what an artifact was used for, unless they say fertility ritual then we know exactly what it was used for.

It should be noted that big chunks of radioactive materials are generally safe same with just generally high radiation under a certain threshold, we are illuminated by a big ball of fuck you radiation after all. The problem is radioactive dust and particulates, once its in your body you are fucked and its pretty random on what amount will kill you. This is what happened to those Russian dumbasses who dug trenches around Chernobyl, they breathed in radioactive dust and it wreaked havoc on their bodies. This is also one of the main reasons you wear gas masks around such things.
