For me probably Terry Pratchett’s dwarves. Or TBH quite a lot of his characters…

I always liked Dr. Strangelove
I’m not sure, but from a web search this may have some bearing: “Kaspar Hauser of Nuremberg, Germany”.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaspar_Hauser
Just conjecture, as I can find no other references that make sense.
I’m not an expert (at all), but I presume that opening a door into a thoroughfare risks hitting someone with the door but opening into a room only risks a person ready to leave (and approaching the door head on?)
Just thoughts…
Green bin day for me (tomorrow morning), so get up, fry up, watch footie, mow the grass that hasn’t been touched for a month, bit of other gardening to tidy up / fill bin. Curry out with mates for supper.
Looks like a Jersey Tiger moth
Umm, that’s what a real bear would say…
Password manager, 2FA where available (these for security more than privacy). Firefox with ublock, noscript and privacy badger for browsing. PiHole for DNS using standard block lists to remove adverts and trackers.
Great work, as usual, and thank you for being so open about privacy issues - refreshing to see.
I get most of my code from StackOverflow. Sometimes from the answers too.
;)
I’m so sorry, but I have to reply to this, I misread this as public spanking, and have been giggling to myself for about 15 minutes.
Apologies.
This guy IPv6’s. At home … alone ;)
I wholeheartedly agree with your statement. But I believe in small steps. I haven’t been on Reddit since the API announcement on /r/Apollo. I won’t be back, I absolutely love the idea of a platform that isn’t owned by someone - in the same way I love an open source project.
Yeah, moderate your empty sub, because all your content creators have moved here.
Bets on how long it will take google to realise that site:lemmy should index the whole fediverese to keep their top spot?
I’m a big fan of RoyalTS for managing my RDP / SSH access to servers. Keepass for password storage.
No, if you search on your Lemmy instance for the community, it will pull it for you. I have had trouble searching before (sometimes) !<community>@<sever> should work, but occasionally I’ve had to use the full https link. Give it a try, hth.
https://browse.feddit.de/ cam help to find communities
Mlem, on iOS, is on testflight, can you use that? https://testflight.apple.com/join/xQfmkJhc
Will it run doom?
