I feel like the closest in the deep south is just “preaching to the choir”. A redundant task which ignores a probably better path or explaining something to someone who doesn’t need it explained to them.
Also, if you’re not in a rush, just email the authors!
A vast majority of professors and researchers hate the publishing industry as much as anyone, and will be happy to shoot you a pdf if you’re interested in their work!
Mostly black, but after living in the UK for awhile I got used to doing a touch of honey and/or milk.
I would love to read or something while sitting doing nothing every day. However, I get yelled at and constantly receive shit from my coworkers for being lazy… while they also don’t do shit.
So I sit… and stare at my screen… and press buttons occasionally.
Y’all are listening to audiobooks at 1.5x???
I just tried it… it’s like clippy. How do you do that?
That’s literally the mechanism by which satire works?
Adding a tag removes that which makes satire… satire.
Man why does it have to be on Epic? Like I don’t despise Epic like a lot of people, but it’s still a pain in the ass to deal with.
I’m American, live in the deep south (about 20-30 minutes from Destin actually, I’ve lived in Europe, and I’m non-religious.
Now that my bona fides are out of the way, I really think that most people have a skewed view of America, and especially on religious topics.
In broad strokes, you’re right. Americans push religion more from both the Atheist side of things and the fundamentalist side. However, this isn’t like a day-to-day normal thing for most people. If you’re on a university campus you will 100% see some religious organization handing out fliers. On a street on a busy Friday, you might even see people proselytizing on the street corner.
But…
I saw all that in Europe as well. Definitely less common, don’t get me wrong, but it was absolutely a thing. There’s different vibes (American fuck you my religion is right; you’re going to hell vs. European Please save our most sacred nation that was founded by GOD!), but it’s really not all that different.
Tl;dr: Humans are human. You can draw whatever lines in sand you like, but it’s really not all that different no matter where you go.
Yea diskpart is its own little beast.
Surprisingly really functional though. Probably my favorite windows command
What are bottles?
Office 365 online can be a good stopgap for those cases if you need it.
TOZO NC9s. They’re cheap, decent ANC, and no app.
You’re pretty much dead on. My partner and I budget tightly, and make a combined ~60-70k. However, between an elderly dog, an elderly cat, our own chronic conditions, and insane cost of living (relatively compared to a few years ago) we’re still paycheck to paycheck ish.
Good human?
But seriously that’s helpful info.
You csn hate a company and like a product. They aren’t mutually exclusive.
Only the absolute basics.
Was not aware of VSCodium! Does it still play nice with the plugin system and such?
I’m extremely anti-gatekeeping any hobby, and I’ve never gotten any bad vibes off him. He nearly always addresses the fact that many of the minutae that he focuses on are for the extreme nerds with extra money/time to spare. He even regularly talks about how many of the ideal processes he talks about, he doesn’t do because it’s a PITA.
He’s very slow to recommend expensive/time consuming products, and he’s quick to offer more reasonable alternatives.
That said, he’s a coffee nerd with money to spare, so he definitely gets excited and involved with things that are a bit beyond your average bear.
I really enjoyed the first 30 hours I put into it.
I haven’t played in a hot minute due to work and housework, but I fully intend to go back and put many more hours into it.
