They shouldn’t have said this out loud; this just makes Tik Tok’s 1st Amendment case better.
I amar prestar aen.
The world is changed.
Han matho ne nen.
I feel it in the water.
Han mathon ned cae.
I feel it in the earth.
A han noston ned gwilith.
I smell it in the air.
Much that once was is lost, for none now live who remember it.
Once RIF Is Fun stopped working, my mobile browsing went exclusively to Lemmy. I still go back to Reddit for niche communities (especially for sports and specific games) on PC, but that’s probably not going to last much longer. Once they kill old.reddit, I’ll be gone for good.
I do wish there was a way to filter for language; I like occasionally finding titties while browsing, but I occasionally run into 5-6 consecutive articles in German or Dutch or something.
This is the sort of anime you show to your friends who aren’t anime fans. It’s wonderfully paced with nuanced characters, has an excellent English dub, has a heartfelt beginning, and occasionally reminds us that this is a Studio Madhouse production with some great action scenes.
And best of all, it’s not ridiculously horny like a ton of other anime. It’s not merely a great anime, it’s just a great show, period.
Honestly, Elder Scrolls has it right: the offspring of two different races will always be the race of the mother, but with some traits of the father.
None of that funny crossbreeding stuff, just keep it simple.
Man, I just think about the opening for “Would?” by Alice in Chains. People who underappreciate the bass haven’t heard that song.
removed, I don’t give a shit about “winning”. I will show up for my shift, I’ll give 100% while I’m there, but at 5:00 PM sharp, I’m out the door.
Life’s too short to spend it slaving away for some rich fucker.
A Witcher carries two swords. One made of meteorite steel: hard and sharp, it is equally adept at turning aside a blade and punching through armor.
The other is made of silver. Light but fragile, the silver in the blade makes this weapon especially effective against creatures of magic.
Both swords are for monsters.
SPLIT YOUR LUNGS WITH BLOOD AND THUNDER

I don’t know, and I don’t want to know.
I only know about it from the memes on 1d4chan.
If someone makes a joke about it in conversation, I’ll laugh, but I’d ghost the group in the first session if I go to the GM’s place and see a copy of it on his/her bookshelf.
That’s a “magical realm” I want to stay far away from.
Have you tried Trepang2? It’s very much a spiritual successor to FEAR, and there’s a free demo for it, too.
Honestly, I don’t know what Jack Dorsey is waiting for. The instant Bluesky leaves its closed beta, basically everyone on Twitter is gonna jump ship, and Twitter’s transformation into Truth Social 2.0 will be complete.
The iron has been hot for a long while. What’s he waiting for?
Nah, McCarthy is fucked either way because cutting a deal with Democrats will mean getting primaried when he’s up for reelection.
190 degrees Fahrenheit. They served it that hot to make it less obvious that they (usually) weren’t selling fresh coffee.
They had a slush fund set up specifically to pay out settlements for coffee burns.
They knew it was a problem, but decided it would be cheaper to pay off burn victims than to serve their coffee at a safe temperature.
The one full-service property I worked at was a Doubletree…and the only person there at night after 10-11 PM is the night auditor.
Then again, none of these properties were particularly large. That Doubletree I mentioned was just shy of 200 rooms, and the other two hovered around 100.
Honestly, this is just across the board in hospitality. I could totally see this happening at at any of the three hotels I worked at, and these were Mariott and Hilton properties.
Hospitality is such a toxic industry, the only people who can really survive and thrive in this environment are power-tripping psychos and workaholics.
It’s entirely possible to kill Vivec and still beat the game, it just requires a bit of a detour.
They’re far from perfect, I’d be the first person to tell you.
But they’re still light-years ahead of anyone else, because they’re perfectly happy just making tons of money instead of trying to squeeze every last cent out of the storefront at our expense.
