Everyone in my family, from my elderly parents to my kid have switched to buckwheat over the past decade or so. Every single one of them loves it. That’s just anecdotal, but for me it was completely worth it.

Most people underestimate the link between having children and climate change.
Oh goodness.
I wish people would explain their downvotes for this post. It has more information and nuance than 99% of the posts on lemmy. I guess because it doesn’t fit whatever rage they are currently entertaining.

You can look up the man page for date
. I’m not sure if that’ll do, but it’s pretty easy. Something like date --set="1 MAY 18:00:00"
as root.
When I have that happen, it’s usually someone (I’m guessing on iPhone), sending an attachment to a group thread. It shows up in the group thread, but then it’ll pop up in that person’s individual thread and give me that warning. Not sure if that’s what’s going on. I think it also sometimes happens if I’m using the browser on my desktop for messages.
I remember when the Federal tax break was renewed and Ford’s response was to jack up prices the same amount. Fuck Ford. I’ve had two Ford trucks over the decades, Rangers for that that’s worth. Never had a problem with them. Despite that, I will not be buying a Ford again in my life.
I edited my config, and it changed the font size next time I opened kitty. I’m not sure what is happening to you, other than maybe having the config file not where it’s expected.
This guy is such a China apologist it’s hard to listen to him. He supported the Hong Kong police. Enough said.
Did you remove the #
at the start of the font_size
setting?
Something, something, Nero fiddling as Rome is burning.
Oh shit. I was just watching a bunch of his old interview and Big Black videos 2 days ago. Damn. One of my favorite 80s musicians.
Well that sure sounds like a bunch of marketing gobbledyremoved.
Buybacks were illegal throughout most of the 20th century because they were considered a form of stock market manipulation. But in 1982, the Securities and Exchange Commission passed rule 10b-18, which created a legal process for buybacks and opened the floodgates for companies to start repurchasing their stock en masse.
The SEC’s decision to make this shift came against the backdrop of President Ronald Reagan’s era of deregulation and coincided with the rise of ‘free market’ economists preaching a new type of social responsibility for business: increasing profits.
So, uh, yeah, it’s more of that sweet #1 bullshit from Reagan. It’s true the loss of experienced people hurt the company, there have been numerous reports on that aspect. That doesn’t have anything to do with cheating on quality inspections.
Why is Boeing such a shitty company?
tl;dw Just late-stage Capitalism in action
I wouldn’t trust a thing from mintpressnews.
EDIT: I have to laugh at the downvotes. They aren’t a trustworthy site.
I’m going to take that for a little spin in a VM. Looks interesting.
I tried out FreeBSD about, oh I’m not sure, maybe 15 years ago. I really liked it. The filesystem is much cleaner than Linux, and it was a nice experience. Unfortunately, or fortunately, I’m GPL for life and the BSD license just wasn’t sitting well with me so I went back to Linux. If you haven’t tried it out, and you’re not a gamer or whatever, I suggest trying it out. You might really like it.
I tried FreeBSD for several months about 15-20 years ago. I really liked how clean the filesystem and environment felt, and have suggested it for many people over the years. In the end I couldn’t get around their license vs GPL.
