I’m brand new to Fedora, having installed Bazzite myself just a few days ago. Did you happen to encounter an issue logging out of KDE? https://discussion.fedoraproject.org/t/cannot-shutdown-logout-on-fedora-40/119070

Glad you had a good experience. I guess people are never as simple as the boxes we try to cram them into, and fandoms can be both a blessing and a curse.
Tangent, but I had a generally positive opinion of John de Lancie based on his work in Trek and Days of Our Lives (I am so old) and various interviews I’d seen over the years until I saw Jenny Nicholson’s video about the last Bronycon. De Lancie had some involvement in a film about the Brony phenomenon and she was in a green room with him a few times. Apparently he was pretty rude and showed contempt for his fans. 🙁
Disclaimer: Not a Brony myself but Jenny Nicholson can make anything interesting.
How do you write an article like this without mentioning Tommy Tallarico? 😆
Edit: Another article does mention Tallarico.
Interestingly, though, this deal doesn’t include the Intellivision Amico. Atari stated that Intellivision would rebrand itself and continue to work on developing the console project that was originally scheduled to launch in 2020 and was once headed up by “prolific” video game composer Tommy Tallarico. Atari said that the company formerly known as Intellivision would rebrand itself and that it would grant licensing rights to the new company permitting it to feature Intellivision games on the console.

Larian Studios, the Good Guy Greg to Microsoft’s (and Ubisoft’s and EA’s) Scumbag Steve.
On the new clean profile I created in v126.0, I didn’t have a gfx.webrender.enabled and gfx.webrender.all was set to false. Changing gfx.webrender.all to true didn’t really change the behavior. Nvidia control panel only shows super resolution active when full screen. Watching the same test video as yesterday at the same requested resolution. I did notice that if I set the Quality back to auto, with gfx.webrender.all = true, it picked 2 today instead of 1. 🤷♂️
Edit: One DDG search later https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1445419
Sorry. Should have mentioned. OS is Windows 11 Pro 23H2 22631.3593. Also, video driver is Nvidia Game Ready Driver 552.44.
From my testing today I found that this actually works pretty well (though not in FF haha). See my top level comment this thread.
I set this up today on my work laptop with (internal) RTX3060. According to the status indicators on the Adjust Video Image Settings page in the Nvidia control panel, super resolution is working in Chrome v124.x and v125.x but not at all in Firefox v126.0. My eyes tell me the same thing. I was able to play a 480p YT stream in Chrome and it looked surprisingly good on my external 1440p monitor. In FF it looks like ass. I may set up a secondary profile in FF just to make sure I haven’t changed some config setting over the years that would prevent it from working right in FF. Will update if I find anything interesting.
Edit: Just tried this again with YouTube in FF v126.0 with a clean profile. It does work, but only when the video is full screen (which makes sense I guess, but the behavior is different from Chrome) and I had to manually set the quality level in the Nvidia control panel. In Chrome the auto setting used level 4 (the highest level), but in FF the auto setting only used level 1.
You absolutely have a point. I guess she felt one lost her money and the other made her money. 😄
Incidentally, she published the Sleeping Beauty books under a pseudonym. Not sure when it became widely known that she was in fact the author.
My recollection is that the books use a fairy tale setting with the addition of a lot (and I mean a lot) of explicit sex. I don’t remember any vampires, but it’s been years.
As for the quality, “good” is subjective. I would say they are…effective in what they aim to accomplish insomuch as they are premium wanking material. 👍
They’re something. I actually learned about the book series itself in the nineties from my surprisingly sexually open ex-mother-in-law. 😆
Oh dear. Thanks for the research. Also thanks to @downpunxx@fedia.io for raising the issue. I wasn’t aware of this.
I stopped enjoying the “change my mind” meme when I realized what a piece of shit Crowder is. I’ll put this one in the same bucket.
What a depressing movie. I didn’t like any of the TNG movies but that one’s the worst.
Do you mean he throws Jews down a well or do you mean he criticized Israel?
It’s a poor poster who blames his tools so this was definitely autocorrect’s fault.
I caught it before I submitted the post but I figured you guys would better appreciate the low effort correction. 😆
Now I feel violated. 😬
Alas. Hope you find a way to verify your set up!
I made an effort to learn it. In 2000. Again in 2012 or whenever the last big push was. If past is prologue, I may need to learn it again soon. 😆
