But 1991 is somewhat long gone AND the USSR does not exist anymore. Former USSR countries changed their mind and oriented themselves to the West which is the real problem here. Putin is unable to accept this. There’s only Belarus left as his lapdog. Ukraine wants to join EU and NATO what bugs him that much that his only answer is aggression!
