3·9 days agoIt looks like the Western propaganda machine is accusing China of creating a debt trap. This thread was about the south African president saying it’s not a trap but a good deal. Here’s some comments.

So this is a comment seeing this as good news. 10 upvotes, 13 down.
After several hundred years of Western investment which only creates slums and brothels, props up violent dictators and which leaves behind a big hole in the ground where the countries resources have been stripped, I would suggest that investment that builds railways, ports and other infrastructure, creates jobs and new markets, is like a breath of fresh air .

Dysphoria and depression have been bad. Not finding much comfort in my relationship and feeling like shit physically.
Tried to boy mode my way through quitting smoking. Visit with my kid on my birthday was the only thing I was really looking forward to the rest of the year and it was cancelled. And I may have had a cold or mild covid. Almost a week of inflammation and sore throat. So not much motivation to do anything aside from laying around miserable.
Much of my depression and disassociation has been dysphoria and anxiety related.
Have you read the gender dysphoria bible? There’s a section on gender euphoria. It is dysphoria. They’re two sides of the same coin.

5·18 days agoChronic pain here too. I often overdo it and end up triggered for days after. And struggle when many of the same feelings around it.

Wanting and even advocating are not demanding. But I can’t speak for the conditions in the UK.
The socialists I know though are a lot more into electorial progressivism than global revolution.
the guys I met in intake
When I was in the intake prison I was around a lot of people going down for multiple decades. People who were going to max.
Ate lunch across from a guy who had murdered his gf while paranoid on meth. He burned their house down trying to cover up the crime.
One of my cellies was in for stealing atms and shooting at the cops during his arrest.
My other cellie for sex trafficking. Would pick women up at the bar and take them for a motorcycle ride. Then sell the women to a biker gang. He said he knew it was wrong and that he deserved the decades he had, but would do it all again.
There’s really no best stories though. It was all pretty shitty and depressing.
Once I got to medium it was pretty smooth. Read a lot. Wrote a lot. Meditated a lot. Tried to avoid mindless self indulgence so I wouldn’t be fucked when I got out.
And it was still very difficult to reinitgrate with all my family living out of state.

8·19 days agoI like to boil them in hot water for ten minutes and then strain out the mushrooms.
Make tea or hot chocolate with the hot water and then lay on my floor for a few hours staring at the ceiling and talking to myself.
Outside of that, pan fried works well with most mushrooms and in most dishes. Just don’t overcrowd the pan and learn to dry fry some species (lions mane for instance).
It’s a bit complicated, but Lion’s Mane po boys are yummy. Lion’s Mane risotto is also excellent.
Most other mushrooms you can substitute for beef (shiitake and buttons) or chicken (chick of the woods).
They all are excellent with eggs too!
