Windows doesn’t even have a software repo.
As a worst-case scenario, AFTL could just make you download it from the website and it would be exactly as bad as Windows UX.
I would drop the “== true” entirely. C will evaluate any nonzero int as true in an “if” statement.
You declare it as the first line after “function getNextDay() : date {”, then it is glaringly obvious that is a date variable that will (eventually) contain tomorrow’s date, and will be returned by the function.
However, I would only use “var” if it’s initialized in the same statement. It prevents Smurf code, and the compiler knows the type straight away.
Given a small and clean context, variable names don’t need to be specific.
Schrodinger has a question about that cat…
x/x = 1
0/x = 0
x/0 = ±infinity
When x=0, it is all three of these rules.
Conservatives here are the worst at picking and choosing. They’ll happily borrow America’s racism, anti-socialism, hypercapitalism, nationalism, mysoginy, gun culture and mass surveillance… but holy crap do they make noise when you put a pumpkin on your front lawn in October.
I’ve found it quite difficult to find PCM/lossless audio lately. You can go from CD to MP3, but not the other way.
Australia has a Superannuation Guarantee. It’s currently at 11% and will go to 12%. Employers get fined if they don’t pay it to their workers.
Damn. I was going to fly between those two last week, but gave up because the prices are stupid.
I’m an Aussie, and I reckon you can’t beat the articulated British accent. It’s just… proper.
I consider the King’s English to be the gold reference.
As a general rule, if I want it, I seek a good deal. If I am approached, it’s bad deal for me so I avoid.
I would also argue that a Suzuki Jimny / Samurai is plenty to get across a muddy track.
My wife has a laminated card which has the instructions to my KeePass vault, and an explanation of how the backup drives are encrypted.
Once the family photos are safe and she can login to all my accounts to finalize them, the server can be replaced with a WRT54G for all I care. Continuity will be impossible. Even a qualified sysadmin would probably struggle with it.
Yeah. We gotta tax the shit out of them. By the kilo.
I’m a software dev.
Looking at this thread, Lemmy’s userbase would halve.
create energy
Ummm… that’s not how it works.
Driving like a hoon. You’d swear I was a teenager behind the wheel.
I still have the loud-piped hot hatch and subwoofers at 39.
Printers are always horrible to administer. Brother are typically the best on Linux. I wrote a massive instructional blog a few weeks ago because it took so much work to get my HL-3150CDN working over USB. I had to repackage a Frankenstein’s monster of a driver because my printer never got 64-bit CUPS filters.
