Under “happy pride month” it says “All cops are beautiful”. Which is either in the vain of “Blue Lives Matter” is to “Black Lives Matter” and is trying to claim and redefine a term often associated with the brutality of cops. I think it’s more likely that this was done by someone pro-cops who was trying to claim and redefine the ACAB acronym.

There is a chance some queer artist put it in their as it alludes to the ACAB acronym but I’m not sure it exactly reads that way to be honest.

  • Yeah gotta agree with you here. Pets are a debatable topic among vegans. The only example that comes to mind is Lewis Hamilton who is vegan and has a pet-dietitian who has helped him put his pet dog on a vegan diet. I’m not really 100% sure I agree with that but I’m sure it beats people randomly giving their pets vegan alternative foods without realizing how it’s affecting the pets.

  • It’ll also show you a pop-up to direct you to r/popular or use the app after a while and will stop showing you posts from the subreddit you’re looking at. This is 100% them just trying to force people into using the app. If you enable the Desktop Mode in Firefox for mobile it won’t show you the pop-ups.

Personally I’ve been using Slide for years and I’ve recently started using libreddit on PC.

EDIT: Ultimately I just want to stop having a reddit account but it’s really useful for technical issues.

EDIT 2: Didn’t fully look at the screenshot and ended up explaining what you already know

  • Thanks for the answers, I didn’t expect to hear about the health concerns (but I guess I should have expect that as for some people that’s a major part of being vegan). I use rapeseed (canola) oil as my main oil substitute. I just find it annoying that in most premade food in the supermarket, at least here in the UK, has palm oil in. Seems really difficult to avoid.

  • To be honest before going vegan I was never a big fan of cheese. I liked the basic mozzarella and cheddar but that was about it. Many vegan cheeses smell overly cheesy in my opinion. I really struggled with vegan cheeses but there are a few that are a lot more subtle. In the UK with have Violife which I think is fairly subtle compared to most other vegan cheeses. They do spreadable cheese and meltable cheese. I can’t say much for products outside the UK.
