stepsquirrel, what are you doing??
I went to school on a campus overrun with squirrels and you could see the whole life cycle on the way to class: defending territory, finding mates, and then making babies, all in a nonstop frenzied squirrelly adrenaline rush. but this… this I never saw

It’s good to recognize that. Sometimes a job is something you do to fund the other things you want to do. Because the things you really want to do don’t pay anything!
Great writeup!
First I found IASIP and Warhammer mashups. Now this. chef’s kiss
This has always happened in homes by the foothills. Bears in pools, on your driveway, looking through trash. People don’t realize how much legitimate wilderness there is here.
Many good recommendations already. Mine are: Warhammer, namely the Horus Heresy, the first few books of which I’ve read. Only 51 more to go. Robert Heinlein, all of his books are in the same universe which is pretty neat. He has his issues but the world building is top notch and sustained across so many works.
Same, the actual situation is equally enraging yet in a totally different way
No worries! :)
That is so awesome. Amen.
