  • Could you make it behave like it did in Apollo? It should only hide posts client/app side (not server side). So if I refresh my home page all the read posts show up again, and clicking that button hides them. (If the home page is refreshed the read posts should show up again)

There should be two separate settings for this

    • always hide read posts (server side)
    • button to hide read posts when clicked (client side)

Please review his post and comment history before making him a mod. He definitely seems to have some biases.

He also doesn’t keep his composure. From one of his previous comments:

Islamophobic and Sinophobic bigot does bigoted things.

    你个狗屁 白痴 请删除您的帐户

Translation: “You piece of shit! Idiot! Please delete your account.”
Keep it coming. Show everyone your true colors.

  • I have that toggled off, but then I can’t see the button to hide posts. There are two things happening here, one is posts are hidden automatically on the feed refresh, the second is the button.

I want to be able to use the button without hiding posts on the feed refresh. I also want any hidden posts to be hidden on clients side, not server side. So if I click the button posts that are read disappear from my feed. If I refresh my feed, they show up again. This is how Apollo worked for me

I assume Kbin has an entirely different api. Maybe Memmy can be updated to communicate with both, but I don’t think it current does that.

I just use a lemmy server local to me and subscribe to any Kbin communities that I’m interested in. Not really missing out on anything other than subscribing to mastodon/microblog accounts.
