As someone who recently switch to Lemmy, I did notice that there is a general difference in the tone of conversation. This is the first time I’ve seen it put to words

Hi, I am a musician (thought almost entirely with using bass clef). I’m not sure I understand what you are transcribing. Are you trying to change the song into a different key, or are you just trying to write out the song as it would be in sheet music?
And just for full disclosure, I am not familiar with this song, so I can’t comment on the accuracy of it how it’s written
the glaring lack of college football content on lemmy has been the biggest disappointment I have had. When I left twitter, I couldnt get real time sports news updates, /r/cfb filled that void. There is no comparable community yet in lemmy, or if there is, I havent found it
I have a jellyfin server running on my local network. I tried running a minecraft server via port forwarding, but learned thats a terrible idea and put an end to that before anything bad happened. Thats now on a different service. I would like to run my own programming portfolio website eventually, but I am not that knowledgeable in networking, so its not something I am capable of doing correctly, yet
I signed up yesterday. It is close enough to something like old.reddit where I feel comfortable navigating around. I dont know how else to describe it, but it really feels like the site is populated by people creating content organically, and not just a bunch of bots or marketing accounts instigating engagement. Its refreshing that way
I’m definitely going to miss LOTRmemes, PrequelMemes, CFB, ExperiencedDevs, CSCareerQuestions. a bunch of others, I was on reddit a long time. I’m definitely ripping of the bandaid here
This is fantastic. I never realized how connected they all were. Thank you for sharing this
