Oh yeah, not all convenience stores are gas stations… But most gas stations are convenience stores.

I can think of things like lawn mowers n shit.
But also, gas station is kind of synonymous with convienient store imo
Its not a conspiracy… You are obviously not involved in the actual ML/AI, but another sector. You aren’t speaking in any technical explaination.
A lot of us are involved in the technical aspect and understand what is being said by management.
Yeah you definitely went to a marketing thing and got marketed to
I’d imagine figuring out that “more to it” is the big leap that would satisfy the “LLM is not AI” people. Probability plays a lot into our decision making, but there is a lot more going on in our brains than that.
I’m still hoping that Neal Stephenson was right that they are also quantum connectors to every other versions of our brains through dimensions. That’d be cool
Are you asking what it means? Large Language Model, if thats what you are asking. Its what people are usually talking about when they talk about AI.
It has no intellegence, but they can be impressive probability machines
Its supposedly to learn typing habits. Heres how you turn it off.
Old term. Think it was short for “narcotics agent”, used to call someone a snitch basically
Just like them Windows users.
Lemmy/Fediverse comment sections are pretty bad about making up personality traits/stereotyping people who do things they disagree with. This thread is wild.
Oh yeah, the sort here kind of sucks. Also just using the site, you lose your place/sort if you click into a link or the comments. Like, if I’m on page 2 of Top 6 Hours, click a link, and then click back into the scroll… pretty sure I just see the first page of Active again until I either refresh or change pages.
That could definitely be improved as well.
I can’t decide if this is written jokingly or seriously.
I imagine you could come up with something relatively easy to put on the walls/ceilings to block signals if you really felt like it.
Making it look like a sane person’s house might be a little more difficult though
I’d imagine help desk applicants
It’s just Americans being programmed to feel guilty online.
I know the stereotype is Canadians saying sorry, but online Americans tend to feel the most guilty about almost everything.
What I was trying to say it is vague criticisms focused on creating demographic based divisions. There is definitely a problem in a sadly large percentage of communities, but it isn’t based of North vs South, Black vs White, yadayada…
I would be willing to bet you would find the same issues to be common in many northern states, such as Utah, Wyoming, Idaho… and depending out what you consider the South, I’m sure there are amazing cities that don’t match any of these complaints either.
and I’d imagine one of the biggest commonalities of the shitty places is going to end up being lack of money in the education system.
I have lived in multiple places considered the south.
I’m not trying to be in a densely populated area.
