If let’s say one of the instances becomes as big as Reddit/Twitter are in the internet, do we want them picking which opinions are acceptable?
If let’s say one of the instances becomes as big as Reddit/Twitter are in the internet, do we want them picking which opinions are acceptable?
I don’t have a definite answer to that. Instances are free to associate/disassociate, elevate/silence certain opinions. However, do we want an instance to continue to exercise them if they become the digital town square like the pre-Musk Twitter was?
It’s like the Holy Roman Empire. It’s not an airline, nor is it a bed and breakfast.
Majority of the “AI inside” software and solutions. It’s in a bubble and everyone is throwing crap to a wall hoping it sticks.

After a certain point, change for the sake of change is undesirable.
Going by my gut feeling, it feels a lot like what other people say about Reddit in its early days (that i wasn’t a part of)
There is a non-zero number of times I thought very bad things that could be disastrous if I have the gumption and ability to plan and implement them. It is my duty to fight it and hope that I never falter in that.
It is what you do that makes you a good or bad person. You’ve done terrible things in the past? You can’t escape the consequences, but you can consciously decide to do good in the future. Keep in mind that it is a continuous battle, day by day.
