That’s enough Lemmy for today.
That’s enough Lemmy for today.
I particularly like the ‘quiet part out loud’ moment where this Tory grandiser admits that they are all self-serving bastards who have been getting away with it, because they had the mask of competence.
Sadly the mask has slipped to reveal the baddie, like a dystopian Scooby Doo episode.
Ah I see, yes app/web OTP is one of the best methods, unless people are calling to report the app/website not working (a workflow I’ve seen many times) The industry has put hundreds of millions into voice recognition but the sample size required for AI to trick voicerec is really low now.
You actually want them to do this, it’s terrifying easy to set up a cell tower or call centre and convince banks and people you are customers or banks.
The company that provides your banks phone system has full access to pretty much every piece of information your bank holds on you, including call recordings, phone numbers, addresses, debts, credits, and your phone password. We can trick our own systems into thinking it’s you on the phone.
Avoid calling your bank at all costs, and if they call you say “no thank you I’ll do that online or in branch”, as soon as you pass security the phone system is accessing all your data. If possible go into branch or do everything on a banking app which has far better security.
Y’know… because of the implication.
That would be nice for iPhone, I’ve got a perfectly fine iPX that I’m only going to upgrade because my banking apps are going to drop support for iOS 16 soon
I may be completely wrong but don’t Samsung, Google etc. stop supporting OS updates on Android phones after 5-6 years? Apple have supported devices for 6-8 years AFAIK.
I have never felt so personally attacked by a SpongeBob meme.
And I completely agree with you, it’s always going to take a while.
I just remember years ago when it was promising a 50% increase in efficiency, but then regular panels caught up and achieved that anyway. This game of cat and mouse has been running for Elon Musk’s Full Self Driving level timelines.
I believed the hype and in ~2020 decided to wait to add a 2nd array until perovskite panels were released “early next year”, and I’m still waiting 3 years later. I hear they will be produced early next year, so that’s something to look forward to.
My panels are 12 years old and approx. 12% efficient, treble the power from the same roof space would be a very tempting upgrade, as long as the price does not go up too much.
To put it into perspective, perovskite solar cells have had multiple headlines a month as a “breakthrough“ and “just around the corner” for more than ten years. I think those that follow this tech are just getting a little disappointment fatigue. Awesome tech though - I just hope they can make it stable enough to last in real world conditions soon.
So they kill their Car Thing player leaving customers with e-waste, add a bundle of features with high fidelity audio which only 1% of systems will benefit from, while jacking up the price. Well done Spotify, you have successfully enshitificated your service.
One of these situations where you look at the source of the story and it’s a basic outrage-headline-for-clicks site. I’ve never heard of skwawkbox outside of lemmy, where do they advertise?
I figured it’s better to know the reason than not.
That is fair enough, but the thing to do when you are told something like you are being de-selected is to ask for confirmation from the party within a reasonable timeframe. Not go out and have a rally with your supporters and the press to tell the world how disgusting you think your party leadership is.
Edit: although now she has been selected maybe she did exactly the right thing, for herself, even if it was at the expense of the party.
Great maybe now she’ll shut up and do her job for a bit. I won’t be at all surprised if the next time she starts mud slinging she finds herself with another suspension and permanent removal from the party.
I very rarely downvote people but @RobotToaster you are just posting the most gutterish drivel. We get you don’t like Labour but if you insist on posting here please try to elevate the quality of your sources and commentary. 57p for the graphic sounds like the sort of bargain we need after 14 years of corrupt Tory contracts.
Diane Abbott is constantly attacking Kier Starmer and the party based on hearsay. Keir and the Labour Party have conversely said nothing but nice things about Abbott. People are always comparing Abbott and Elphicke, who was allowed to defect in order to damage the Tory party but not stand in the next election, where is the comparison here? Abbott is just vindictive, self serving and has lost any political nous she may have had in the past, she should retire before she destroys her legacy completely.
28!!!
No wonder people on their 20s are so pissed off with politicians, life is so hard it ages them an extra 20 years.
