I’ve finally bought 2660 and it was quite pleasant to use! The buttons click very smoothly, screen is quite awful (compared to my current smartphone, though that’s not a fair comparison). It is very snappy and I like that! And by the way, it is built well. Even if it uses plastic, it is quite smooth and pleasant to hold. OS is quite barebones: calls, messaging with T9, music and alarm clock. That’s almost it.
I haven’t made a transition yet as I have to figure out workaround for iMessage and other stuff, though I’ll probably use my smartphone with data-only SIM to keep important stuff with me.
I have replaced it myself when it hit 82%. The difference was quite noticeable and definitely worth it. I use my phone lightly (phone calls + messaging), thus it would last around 1 and half a day. Now it easily lasts almost two full days without recharging! 12 mini is still a beast and I personally love it a lot due to its size and performance capabilities :D
Nevertheless, I’ve ordered the part on my own and would not recommend it if you have never opened phones before
Do you miss any features on your Orchid? Like maps, music etc
Surprisingly enough I live in EU country and Apple Maps is as precise as it gets. All streets are constantly updated, even major roadworks are added almost instantly.
P.S. I live in a small EU country, not Germany or France
