The way you are telling me this reminds me of the old HP windows laptops I used to use that their battery life did not even last 2 hours lol (I eventually got a MacBook Pro and that was a massive upgrade).

I still don’t picture windows doing that great with laptops (as in optimization), but I don’t know, I have seen very good laptops with good specs very recently that it could maybe make up for Windows being not optimized for anything.

I’m not sure what else they’d need to do. Other than still produce it, I suppose 😅

Yeah this is the part I’d be worried about if I get a Steam Deck and it has no successor 😅

Yeah, honestly the fact that the Deck with less raw power leaves similar results is a huge positive point I guess, I honestly haven’t seen anyone complaining that much because of the performance issues.

And yeah, better battery life is always good in my book, I think other handhelds have a joke of battery life.

I thought Valve wasn’t known for a long support for handheld, at least that is one comment a friend of mine said (that the Deck would be forgotten as the Steam controller).

I have neither and still find the Steam Deck more appealing for me.

Whiiiich, lends me to the next question, is the Steam Deck an inferior product compared to all the other existing PC handhelds? I mean we all know we have seen the Steam Deck basically created this new sector (inspired by the Switch), but I have seen lots of hate, or lots of praise towards it, by different users and I can’t exactly pinpoint which is the truth (it seems like the console wars of nowadays lol), at the point that all the praise the Steam Deck gets is a meme (I see this behavior on YT especially where this handhelds really show).

I still think the Steam Deck has the best price, but at the time I have enough income for getting one (and putting aside they don’t ship to Mexico) I think the market will have newer alternatives lol.

Can they do that? I’d love it, but I don’t think they can really force Apple, or any company to do something globally can they? (USB C was probably managed this way because of logistic and pricing matters).

Wait, I thought the “downside” of this app was that it used your VPN connection, compared to NextDNS or the built in DNS feature of Android.

I also use AdAway rooted version and not really looking into changing it, but if you could clarify about this I could happily see it as an alternative :)

Yep, nothing beats Sync, although the other existing apps are great, and have been great since the beginning if you ask me.

If you wanna know why I chose Sync instead of any other app is because the damn app can survive even the worse ROM you use and it doesn’t matter how atrocious your RAM management is, you are likely never gonna miss the position you left when you minimize and open other apps.

The app basically saves the state where you were and it is highly unlikely that you lose the track of it, even on aggressive RAM management ROMs like MIUI, it still stands better than the others, I experienced the same with Sync for Reddit.

Or AdAway, of any of your preferred DNS blocking methods.

It was until a recent Chrome update for Android that they took out the ability to turn the webpages dark within the hidden settings, and that was what motivated me to go back to Firefox (first time user on Android though).

I haven’t looked back, and am actually not sure if they brought the feature back, nor that I care nowadays ;).

The only thing that keeps me motivated to use the audio jack is because my old car still has an old stereo and I use it daily, and I am too lazy to use dongles lol.

As a matter of fact here is a pic of a disc that my girlfriend bought recently because it was on discount, and we tried it in the car for the first time ever! (We also don’t usually buy discs, this would be the first time in more than a decade).

I haven’t played any Fallout game, but I am pretty sure I own some lmao (giveaways and such), so what is the most recommended title to start with?
