There’s a grain of truth in here, but not quite. One in every four or so (not quite, but we can roll with it regardless) identified species of animal is a beetle. Not one in every four animals, by population nor overall species.

The reasons for this is are many, but may include because beetles are big, easy to catch, agriculturally-significant, and are particularly easy to pin and study, dramatically boosting the count of beetle species we work with on an academic level (lending to higher identification rates). There are also just a shitload of beetle species, naturally.

Scientists estimate something closer to ~10 million species of animals, which would still make beetles a huge percentage of the species, but a far cry from 25%. If you looked at the total number (estimated) of individual animals, beetles are pretty insignificant.

I love how when new waves of people discover old technology, there are always these types of fundamental questions.

Then, you proceed to ask fundamental questions like the one in this thread without referencing that you’re brand new to the software, or that you haven’t bothered to look up previous discussions.

YouTube does delete comments. But this isn’t that. When YT deletes your comments you can no longer see it in even on your account.

They were given trivial tasks to perform to justify the title. It was in bad faith and should have rung alarm bells. But I anticipate for the luxury thrill-seeker, they may be accustomed to fancy titles for their trips, and didn’t even really think about it.

Those traffic signs can be placed for bikes, and paint on a road is not made specifically for cars. With that in mind, the paint is clearly intended for bikes here.

Also, why would you need a “cars prohibited” on a bike road at every visible interval? Why would you need bollards? Are you worried that you’re going to accidentally drive down a bike road? Are the large bikes painted onto the obviously-narrowed lanes not obvious enough?

Describing the various ways in which you mitigated the intrusiveness of reddit’s awards is not exactly corroborating your argument that the awards were fine. I’m also struggling to see the symbolic value of a badge that indicates you paid the administrators. The award system did not build upon the original sorting mechanism of upvotes in any meaningful way.
