You are absolutely right. They need to be split up in six different pieces instead, thereby forcing them to compete. That’s what functioning democracies do to companies that are so dominant they are de facto monopolies and thereby making any real competition virtually impossible. The US isn’t a functioning democracy anymore so don’t you worry little one, It’s not gonna happen to any of the mega-conglomerates you have such a special bond with.
Yeah, I haven’t read the study of course. Only read about it. Which makes the claim above even more dubious. But hey, this is the future, who has the time to fact check anymore?
The funny thing is that the “extra strength” placebos likely have a better chance of working. The more elaborate and involved the placebo is, the greater the chance of it actually working even if you know it is a placebo. Our minds are weird. As always, I’m too lazy to look up the actual study so I don’t know if it was a quality study or not.

I’ve found that the best way to utilize alcohol when programming is to code sober and comment drunk. It’s a wonderful way to make commenting both fun to write and to read later.
I have tried coding under the influence, but I can’t do it. Even small amounts of alcohol makes it really hard to do anything complex. But if it works for you, good on ya.
