exactly. those pesky children are easy to be radicalized; they have barely spent time learning anything at school, so they can’t really tell the bluff.

watch al jazeera for instance (a qatari MSM): hamas propaganda 24/7. qataris probably have stakes in this too by reselling arms, so it helps to keep the flame alive ( they would spend hours rebroadcasting the death of this ‘hero’ journalist in the battlefield, while in fact its lucrative that such people die to always have exclusive material to broadcast, its like a Marvel movie, but with real casualties ).

arms production is a lucrative business right now.

But the states where it’s close will experience brain drain and eventually get their abortion bans through and then be a cinch for House seats and electoral college votes. If it works in enough purple states, it’s game over. USA would be the new KSA.

i dont even live in the u.s and could still notice there’s no glimmer of hope for things to become better (also doesn’t mean that i am living in a better place)

Some of us Americans are paying attention, and we’re scared shitless. I would rather not have to flee to Europe as a refugee, but as a power plant operator with water treatment expertise, I could bring value to whatever country would have me.

exactly. the best way to approach this is to keep an open mind and be willing to learn a new language and embrace a new culture to find a fitting job. Not all european countries fair well but some are better than others. i think thou that UK is still a no-go, since its the same bunch. Commonwealth my a$$.

  • Exactly. also inputs from experts who chime in on the subject are really useful, like a semiconductor engineer suddenly replying in a comment section. There’s not much of it here thou. Yea there is sorta this lag time between Reddit and Lemmy in whichever get wind of the news first, i even, used to be a reddit reposter just to somewhat help seed this place

  • tbh its true: apart from my french instance where i like to hang out, most of Lemmy is just memes, Linux related posts, or self hosting posts. No meaningful content for ur average person really. In fact i scroll throu ‘All’ in new and reach yesterday’s posts in just few minutes, given the amount of ‘not so meaningful content’ i am filtering …
