I don’t know if @Hackerman_uwu is enough? I’m writing this comment to test it
Maybe !Hackerman_uwu@lemmy.world
Edit: nope neither of those work
The browser versions aren’t too awful, if that’s an option.
Easy enough to imply it from all of the other comments in the thread, and the fact that the op referred to the ThinkPad in the title. You’re correct, and it’s not your fault the op used the wrong word, but context indicates that they were talking about desktop PCs.
I agree, but this is the way we avoid letting shitty companies dupe is into getting paid less for doing more. The four day work week in many industries is a win win win - improvements to productivity benefit the customer and the shareholder, and getting 20% of your life back benefits the worker.
My doctor gave me four months to live.
Reddit death > installing mint on my second PC > realising I can run most of the games I play and installing mint on my main PC > start learning Rust as a first foray into programming in a long time > realise I want to go back to uni and study info tech to get out of my shitty marketing job > get a shitty second hand laptop off my parents that struggles to run windows and install endeavourOS to try something different.
It really is a slippery slope. When does it end???
One of my favourite songs, but I am still an advocate for the Oxford Comma.
If Linux based handhelds keep getting more popular for gaming, to the point where they represent 5 or 10% or even more of the PC gaming market share, I feel like incompatible anticheats could spell the death of some games when competitors come up that are compatible with the platform.
I don’t expect league of legends to die as a result of this and only this but surely it’s a possibility. From the time I used to play league, I never really seemed to encounter any cheaters (or at least not enough to notice it) over hundreds of hours played. I really don’t see the value proposition to adding it, where I can understand it more in a FPS/TPS.
Of course it’s just as likely, if not more so, that the deck and similar platforms are just a phase, or that a windows based handheld takes the market by storm.
I think however you’re accessing Lemmy is rendering it wrong. I see the usual function.
I got told by Lemmy to start from Voyager and I’ve had no regrets. Low barrier for entry in terms of not needing to know much about star trek, introduces a lot of important lore to take into different series, hits a lot of the great beats of the rest of the material.
Newest update to excel asks before applying default formatting and type conversion just as an FYI.
Update for everyone - based on these, I’m currently 1/3 through episode 1 of Voyager. I had to pause it to go run some errands but I’m loving it so far.
Thanks for this - I almost started there based on someone else’s comment but decided against it and I’m glad I did. I’m wary of starting somewhere that might warrant a rewatch, when there’s so much to cover.
Holy shit - what a great response, thank you
First in best dressed. Can’t wait to see what shenanigans the gang gets up to in space, right guys?
Completely pointless
Holy moley - OP knows and acknowledges as much in the last sentence. They’re doing something for the fun of it. Lighten up.
Seems crazy to me that Saka is the only current player on the list!
OSKO is even better than payment apps. Basically every bank offers is as a payment method option (if not the default) for any transfer, at 0 cost. They’re also implementing a new system to replace direct debits, to add more consumer protection and control to the recurring billing market.
