I’ve set one off while dying my hair.
I’m in my mid 40s now but I knew even when I was a kid that I never wanted kids. I see my friends and family now struggling with their own children and I just cannot imagine that life for me. I have no regrets not having kids, but if I ever did, I know it’s better to regret NOT having them than to regret having them.
Be excellent to each other
He got a degree in architectural design and now tours the country playing the fiddle. He could have been anything he wanted and that’s the life he chose, but I respect him for it. He’s happy and that’s what really counts.
Anything computer-related
They are both intellectually superior to me and my brother, their only children. I’m pretty sure he and I are a bit of a disappointment to both of them, but they would never admit that.
I was lucky enough to spend a semester abroad in NSW Australia when I was in high school and I volunteered at a wild animal sanctuary there and they had some flying foxes. They were so cool, but you had to be careful when you entered their cage because they would either climb all over you or piss on your head.

This is great! Person in the middle is questioning their life choices.
One of my coworkers left his car parked in his driveway for so long that a pigeon made a nest between the windshield and the windshield wiper, just right in that little space where it comes together with the hood.
They used to make these things called “Shrinky-Dinks”, which were sheets of thick plastic that you would color with pencils, then cut them out and stick them in the oven and they would shrink down to a smaller size.
Well one day when I was 3, I decided I could do this by myself, except that I put them in the toaster oven on the grate on like 400 degrees. Of course that shit melted through the grate and onto the heating element inside the toaster oven. Thankfully my parents noticed the smell before a fire started. Not sure how much a toaster oven cost in the '80s, but they had to get a new one one.
I aim for 10pm, but it always ends up being like 10:45/11
