About a month ago I hopped onto my normal train. Standing room only. After a couple stops half the train empties out so I see a seat. Plop down, start gaming. Guy in the next row starts scrolling social media with volume at full blast. “Hey man, could you put your volume down or pop in some headphones?” Guy looks like he just found out I murdered his children “Do you own the train? Who do you think you are sitting down and asking people to stop making noise? Where do you get off?” I reply “Holy fuck bud, it’s rude as shit to be blasting your phone at full volume. No I can’t stop you, but you’re an asshole.” He indignantly cranks volume to max. Next stop an old lady gets on and sits next to me. Looks at guy “Turn your phone down.” I fucking lost it laughing.

If there’s no profit being made companies won’t keep spending. A large part of this bubble are the plans tech companies have to build out more AI. If these companies blink and reduce their plans it will begin the selloff. They’re still all in on forcing AI down your throat, because they need you to be used to using it so they can start charging you a monthly subscription.

There’s oyster knives, but I’m unaware of any mussels knife. Mussels open when they’re cooked and I’ve never heard of them being eaten raw. When it comes to shucking/opening oysters, you want the specialized tool so you don’t end up with shell in your food or a knife in your hand.

As a person who loves learning and building new skills, I find this absolutely abhorrent. If you never do anything challenging or difficult, you’ll eventually be so far out of the skill curve that you’ll lack the base skills necessary to develop more complex skills. Almost all the new hires at work save shit to one drive and teams and it’s incredibly annoying to locate anything. Just save it to the dang shared drive.

Yup, this was me at a lunch table at work. Dudes were pulling the most repulsive stories about fucking another chick while their GF is doing XYZ or not washing between their side girl and main chick and i just couldn’t sit there. Pretended I got a notification and was like “whelp I got work to do, later!”

I once rented an apartment with a shower and toilet behind a door in the bedroom. The sink was mysteriously across the bedroom, as if the builders found out you needed a sink for the bathroom 90% of the way through the building process and just slapped one in. Absolutely bizarre.

Yup, that’s how operate. I went to help a colleague with some stuff and dude had so many tabs and windows open it took him more time to find the tab he wanted me to see than it wouldn’t taken me to search for it. Annoying

Yeah, not that I used to eat fast food a lot but with prices as high as they’ve gotten I just can’t justify it. It’s garbage food that’s more expensive than sit-down options. Everyone has a phone, so with 10 minutes of pre planning you can order from anywhere and not have to sit there and wait which makes McDonald’s lose ground in convenience too.

Pricing is about the only place McDonald’s could win, but they’re too greedy and we all know it.

Literally paying for a vacation with the cash it saved me, and I’ve managed to read a dozen books and play tons of retro games. I love cars and car culture, but fuck me it’s so dumb to use a car when there’s other options. Like using a sledgehammer to crack a walnut.

I work in corporate retail in the USA. It’s generally acceptable if you’re out of the office on a business lunch. Cracking open a beer in the kitchen at lunch probably wouldn’t have any immediate consequences but you’re probably looking outside of the company for a promotion.

In all honesty with all the red hate for blue states I’m hella over helping them. It’s like being in an abusive relationship and our leadership just rolls over and takes it.
