I think in your example its totally fine, since you make stuff for your own consumption. In this chapter they prepped multiple orders (i dont think he would get 100+ grozas for himself), didn’t even get to eat anything and left. She probably sold them to the next customers, and that whats questionable for me. Also he only got paid by vouchers for the thing he himself made.

Or Im overthinking stuff, but this manga makes for fun though experiments.
