I think I dislike the Broccoli episodes more than any Wesley ones. Of course, it was silly to see Wes miraculously save the day by being more competent or space-time-magical than everyone else. But at least, despite his obvious disadvantage (of being a child), he was good at his job as an Ensign.
Broccoli was just so comic awkward that I could never believe he’d get posted to a starship, let alone end up being tolerated for all his nonsense.
