I am not defending the law, more pointing out the use of certain words have certain meanings, particularly for media companies to print them would be suicide if they said Bill Gates steals $30B. Whilst we may see that accurate, the current law doesn’t and thus they would be sued and give him more money.

I believe nothing will ever change as the vast majority of people don’t care, are numb to it, or don’t have time to care.

I don’t defend the law and in fact I’ll break the law as much as I can get away with.

I’m apathetic to life really and honestly dying doesn’t seem so bad as this place is a hell hole. And I am lucky enough to work my dream job, have a decent employer (< 10 staff, boss (lead engineer, owner) and works harder than me), average quality of life etc and yet I just can’t go on. Everywhere you look it’s just horrific humans committing horrific acts.

Then you have someone arguing about the semantics of words. Perhaps I’m too cynical now but I don’t see anything changing unless we have a mass revolt and well judging by how laws are changing over protests or how people view protesters I can hardly see a French style revolution happening.

I can understand that and will try to use different wording.

In this instance I think claim is fine but I would take issue with steal, as I would expect stealing (theft) would most likely have to be backed up by law as stealing is a criminal offence and so for someone to have done that then they should be tried in a court.

Perhaps, the word “earn” could still be used but we could follow it with “through exploitation” as they generally make these profits by exploiting society and their workforce. You can earn things in non-favourable ways after all, no?

I think the semantics of the word “earn” are the least of our worries here mate.

I will try again, but I will say it’s quite difficult to want to play again knowing you might lose whatever you’re doing. So I’ve been on but kept saving every few minutes and I’m not sure if I should just do as I did and leave it until it crashes.

I’ve also been going back and forth between windows more than I would as I’m nervous about it 😞

I don’t actually think it’s the game that crashed though, more windows crashed and that prevents me saving, but when I try to save it corrupts the file.

I will have a look into the third party launchers though to cover all bases.

I am with you on I just want to install and play. I’m a nerd but I don’t have time to be a Linux nerd as well as an MC nerd too.

So yes you’re correct in that I can still play the game, like 90 mins after windows seemingly crashed. Once I decide I’m not playing any longer and come to save is when I realise that the whole of windows (aside from the game) has crashed as I can’t load the task manager or even shut down and have to just power off.

So I have duel monitor setup and I play fullscreen on one of them, but that screen still shows the start start menu (taskbar) whatever it’s called.

I will try those tips you suggested, once I’m less pissed off about the whole ordeal (which I get is silly as it’s just a game, but that game offers me a release from the stress of life and so I don’t appreciate the stress it’s causing).

I’ll update once I’ve tested. Obviously on a throwaway world.

Check this, I worked at Apple on the bar for 3 years and every year we would wear blue for most the year, red for Christmas and get this, green for Earth day.

So they would ship shirts around the world every year for these. You could use your old ones but they always gave more.

I brought it up to a manager that the green one is laughable as we are celebrating earth day by shipping green shirts around. I’m pretty sure they stopped it now but it always struck me as insane.

I also, had some discussions about how well we got treated in the UK but my American counterparts not so much and my Asian counterparts even less, but I always got the we don’t control the Foxconn stuff etc.

It’s all words really and their bottom line is making money.

It’s really great when you put on some calming music for sleep that’s 8 hours long and has an ad break every 5 minutes.

I could be wrong here but I would argue the vast majority of users are somewhat tech proficient since it’s not reached mass adoption and the user base is well, just us nerds?
